Samara is one of the largest cities in Russia and the Volga region. It remarkably combines a rich history, powerful industrial potential, and the relaxed atmosphere of a Volga resort. The city stretches for many kilometers along the great Volga River, having earned the unofficial title of the "space capital" — it is here that the legendary Soyuz launch vehicle was assembled.

Samara is very green and picturesque, especially pleasant for walks on summer days. The center is home to the pedestrian Leningradskaya Street, lined with numerous cafes and restaurants for every taste. Nearby, in the city's historic heart, you can visit museums, such as the famous Stalin's Bunker – a deep underground shelter built in 1942 and declassified only in the 1990s, or theatres like the Drama Theatre and the Philharmonic Hall.

Be sure to descend to the Volga and take a stroll along the extensive, multi-level embankment, which is especially beautiful at sunset. It is divided into two parts by the historic complex of the Zhiguli Brewery, built in the German Gothic style. From here, you can walk up to one of the largest squares in Europe – Kuibyshev Square, home to the Opera and Ballet Theatre and the entrance to Stukov Garden. From the new part of the embankment, it's easy to reach the singing fountains and Slavy Square, which offers a wonderful view of the Volga and the Samara Circus, whose roof resembles Yuri Nikulin's famous cap.

To explore the city's industrial heritage, it's worth visiting the modern interactive museum "Samara Space Museum," at the entrance of which a real Soyuz rocket is installed. Nature lovers will enjoy the Botanical Garden with its diverse collection of plants, Zagarodny Park leading straight to the Volga (though be prepared for a descent), or the large Yuri Gagarin Park (Central Park of Culture and Leisure) with its walking alleys, attractions, squirrels, and ducks.

During the warm season, the "Moskva" river tram operates on the Volga, which you can take to the picturesque village of Shiryaevo. It is located in the Samara region, within the Samarskaya Luka National Park — these are the very landscapes that inspired Ilya Repin to create his famous painting "Barge Haulers on the Volga." From the hills of Shiryaevo, a beautiful view of the Zhiguli Mountains opens up. And for one of the best panoramic views of the Volga, the Zhiguli, and the city itself, head to the Helicopter Platform (Vertolyotnaya Ploshchadka).

We are looking forward to seeing you in Samara.
